Sports Day 2017 was held in the Convent Park on Friday 5th May. The children suitably dressed in shorts, tracksuits, sun hats and runners, had a great time as they moved from one racing station to another, played games, bounced and jumped on the bouncy castles. Eager to run in all the races, and stopping only for short water breaks, there was great excitement as the children took part in the sack race, hoop race, egg and spoon race, wheelbarrow race, obstacle course, 3 legged race and jumping race. Bouncy castles, games with the multicoloured parachute and Twister, jungle dancing and background music all created a wonderful atmosphere and added to the fun. The day ended with ice lollies to cool down and children returned to the classrooms tired but happy after an exciting fun filled day. Thanks to the band of helpers who helped set up race stations and gave a helping hand at the bouncy castles.
