Lá Glas 2019
St. Louis Infant School celebrated their annual lá glas on Friday 15th March. This is a very enjoyable and popular event with the entire school community coming together to sing, dance, say poems, sean nós dancing, enjoy live music and above all celebrate our Irish language and culture. This year we were joined by our Artists in Residence Martin and Angela O Donoghue and Paul Jermyn who added such an exciting element to the day. The children really loved the live music and the craic! There was a sea of smiling faces all dressed in green.
One of the highlights of the day was the awarding of the Trofaí gaeilge. These trophys are awarded to the children who make an outstanding effort to use gaeilge, this is always an extremely hard decision for their teachers as it must be said that all children in all classes make such an effort all year through and indeed during seachtain na gaeilge. Comhghairdeas do gach duine!!
